Résumé

Black mothers suffer from double oppression: sexism and racism. Due to this double oppression, black motherhood has been painful experience for mothers. They are used for the economic interests of white masters. Black women do not have any rights over their own children as they are white masters’ properties. However, in this harsh living conditions, some black mothers find strength and courage to fight for their children’s freedom. In another words, black mothers are resilient. They love their children and protect them against slavery system. This study is based on Marxist feminism theory and narratology.
