Résumé
Cette contribution vise à faire l’état des lieux de l’action de l’Église catholique en faveur de la paix au lendemain de la crise post-électorale de 2011. Depuis la fin de la crise post-électorale, l’Église catholique est engagée, avec d’autres acteurs, dans le processus de réconciliation. Son implication dans cette crise a été graduelle et circonstancielle. Sa participation au processus de paix est perceptible par les sorties et les interpellations des évêques, d’une part ; par les actions du clergé et certaines structures catholiques, d’autre part. Notre méthodologie s’inscrit dans les sillages de la méthode tracée par l’école méthodique et validée par l’école des Annales. Par cette approche nous sommes parvenu à montrer les enjeux de l’engagement de l’Église catholique malgré les critiques à elle faites. L’atteinte de ces enjeux s’est traduite par l’engagement sans faille de l’épiscopat, du clergé et certaines de ses structures.
Resumen
Esta contribución tiene como objetivo hacer un balance de la acción de la Iglesia Católica a favor de la paz en las postrimerías de la crisis poselectoral de 2011. Desde el final de la crisis poselectoral, la Iglesia Católica se ha comprometido, junto con otros actores, en el proceso de reconciliación. Su implicación en esta crisis ha sido paulatina y circunstancial. Su participación en el proceso de paz es perceptible por las salidas y las interpelaciones de los obispos, por un lado; por la acción del clero y de ciertas estructuras católicas, por otra parte. Nuestra metodología está en línea con el método trazado por la escuela metódica y validado por la escuela Annales. A través de este enfoque hemos logrado mostrar los desafíos del compromiso de la Iglesia Católica a pesar de las críticas que se le hacen. Superar estos desafíos ha resultado en el compromiso inquebrantable del episcopado, el clero y algunas de sus estructuras.
Abstract
This contribution aims to take stock of the action of the Catholic Church in favor of peace in the aftermath of the post-electoral crisis of 2011. Since the end of the post-election crisis, the Catholic Church has been engaged, along with other actors, in the process of reconciliation. Its involvement in this crisis has been gradual and circumstantial. Its participation in the peace process is perceptible by the exits and the interpellations of the bishops, on the one hand; by the actions of the clergy and certain Catholic structures, on the other hand. Our methodology is in line with the method traced by the methodical school and validated by the Annales School. Through this approach we have managed to show the stakes of the Church’s commitment despite the criticisms made of it. Achieving these challenges has resulted in the unfailing commitment of the hierarchy, the clergy and some of its structures.
